For a "closer to town" outdoor experience, try the Huckleberry Trail. This trail runs on an abandoned rail bed from Blacksburg to Christiansburg. It is approximately 6 miles long. The level trail is ideal for those who wish to hike and bike in more moderate terrain. More activities in the area include walking tours of historic sites, history museums, Antique Shopping, Christiansburg Aquatic Center, Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech (opening fall 2013) and much more!
